
Christos Simardanis (Alexandria, 21 March 1957—Athens, 12 March 2018) was a Greek actor and announcer. He was born in Alexandria, Egypt and lived there until the age of 6. He studied acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. He had declared himself an atheist, homosexual and a KKE voter. He died of cancer at the age of 60 on 12 March 2018 in Athens. He participated in dozens of film and television productions, but was also active in the theater. Among other things, he became extremely well-known for his announcements in television and radio commercials. For 19 years (until 2012), he was the distinctive voice of the advertising messages of the Mega television station, while he also voiced hundreds of product promotional commercials. He also had charitable activities and carried out the non-profit voiceover of many messages of a social nature.
