デビッド・ウェナム

オーストラリアのニューサウスウェールズ州出身。西シドニー大学卒業後に俳優としてのキャリアをスタートさせ、オーストラリアのTVドラマやTV映画に出演して国内の人気を集める。 2001年、バズ・ラーマン監督の「ムーラン・ルージュ」で本格的にハリウッドに進出し、世界的なヒットを収めた「ロード・オブ・ザ・リング」3部作（01、02、03）にファラミア役で出演。以降、ヒュー・ジャックマン主演 「ヴァン・ヘルシング」（04）で助演を務め、ザック・スナイダー監督の話題作「300 スリーハンドレッド」（07）や「オーストラリア」（08）でもメインキャストを務める。 その他の出演作に「オレンジと太陽」（10）、「LION ライオン 25年目のただいま」（16）、「パイレーツ・オブ・カリビアン 最後の海賊」（17）、「エルヴィス」（22）、TVシリーズ「トップ・オブ・ザ・レイク」（13～17）など。
